New Brewery To Open In Old Gotham

The owner of Gotham Brewing Co. announced yesterday that they would open their doors within the month. Bob Kane, owner and general manager of the new brewery, said that they are just about ready to have their grand opening.

Located in the Old Gotham neighborhood, Gotham Brewing Co. will not only be a brewery, but a destination for craft beer fans. The new brewery will feature a large brewpub, an event space, and a covered patio. Kane hopes to host beer and brewing classes, as well as offering the event space for private functions.

The brewery has released a list featuring a few of their current brews:

Gotham IPA: A hoppy IPA with a golden body and a pale, foamy head. This brew has a rich citrus and pine scent to go along with its full hoppy flavor, accented by citrus notes. (6.0% ABV)

Dark Knight Porter: A solid porter with a dark brown body and a brown head to match. Aromas of roasted malt and chocolate mingle together. This beer boasts a smokey balance of sweet and bitter with flavors of cocoa and roasted malt. (5.4% ABV)

Arkham Ale: An amber pour with a thin off-white head. This ale has a nice hoppy smell to it with hints of citrus and pale malt. Notes of lemon zest and grapefruit are balanced out by its malt and hop base. (5.5% ABV)

Kane said there would be one or two more brews on tap when the brewery opens, but chose to keep further details a secret.
