Brought to life by a partnership between Avram Hornik and Jason Elliott of the venerable Franklin Mortgage & Investment Company, River Tiki is a love letter to the classic tiki bars of the mid-century. The island vibe will let you leave the city behind for a bit while you sip elaborate drinks and enjoy beachy bar snacks.

River Tiki’s cocktail menu is a proverbial history lesson in the last century of tiki drink-making. Labeled with the year of its invention and the bar that brought it to life, you can truly drink your way through the decades. Go classic with Trader Vic’s 1944 Mai Tai, or try one of their fruity and fabulous daiquiris.

River Tiki’s ode to Hawiiana continues with their menu of Zombies through the ages from 1934 all the way to present day. Invented at Don the Beachcomber’s in 1930’s Hollywood, this quintessential rum cocktail went through many iterations through the decades, and you can try a variety of them (plus River Tiki’s own version) this summer.

The group-friendly menu also includes a variety of punch bowl options. Split a Shell Phone between you and a friend, an Active Volcano for four, or go all in with the Punch-Drunk bowl for six. Choose between the funky spiced Graveyard Luau with rum, citrus, and cinnamon, the bright and tropical Sleeping Giant with notes of almond, or a classic Scorpion bowl with rum, Pisco, and zesty fruit.

Their team of expert bartenders has also created a variety of new cocktails with tiki flare like the Electric Guppy–a unique blend of blanco tequila, tropical fruit, orgeat, and a touch of banana. And don’t sleep on their equally beach-worthy mocktails, which are a steal at just $10.
